About the role:

We are looking for a BI Analyst Developer to join our Data and BI Team, where you will combine technical expertise with commercial insight to support data-driven decision-making and business optimisation. Reporting to the Head of BI, you will work with stakeholders across the business to translate commercial and financial requirements into robust data models, reports, and actionable insights. This role suits someone with a strong analytical mindset, hands-on experience with Power BI, and the ability to turn complex data into clear, commercially meaningful insights that drive performance and business value.

What you’ll do:

• Perform ad-hoc analysis and deep-dive investigations to answer business questions, combining financial, accounting, and operational data to generate meaningful insights.
• Analyse data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities that support business performance and strategic decision-making.
• Design and develop reports, interactive dashboards, and visualisations using Power BI, clearly communicating insights to stakeholders.
• Work with business stakeholders to gather, document, and prioritise reporting and analytics requirements, translating them into effective BI and D365 reporting solutions.
• Develop and enhance financial reports and analytics using Dynamics 365 Finance data (including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable).
• Collaborate with the Head of BI, BI Developers, Finance, IT, and Data teams to design, implement, test, and improve BI solutions, data models, and reports.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity through validation, troubleshooting, and participation in user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Apply statistical and analytical techniques to large datasets and stay up to date with emerging BI and analytics best practices to drive continuous improvement.
• Build strong relationships with cross-functional stakeholders and proactively share insights and recommendations that support business goals.

What we are looking for:

• Experience in business and data analysis, with strong data visualisation skills using Power BI or similar tools (e.g. SSRS, Tableau).
• Good theoretical knowledge of Financial and Accounting principles.
• Strong SQL skills, with experience using SQL, Python, R, or similar for data analysis.
• Strong theoretical knowledge of ERP systems, ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365/AX/NAV (or SAP, Oracle, etc.).
• Proactive in developing technical skills in D365 and Azure, alongside finance and accounting knowledge.
• Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills with strong attention to detail.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, able to work effectively across the organisation.
