About the role:
We’re looking for an ESG & Sustainability Manager to lead the development and delivery of EG On The Move’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) strategy across our growing fuel, EV, retail and food services portfolio.
Working as part of the Legal team and partnering closely with senior leadership, you’ll play a key role in shaping our ESG direction while driving practical delivery across the organisation. You’ll lead on ESG compliance, reporting and data governance across our UK operations, with future opportunities to support European expansion.
In this role, you’ll develop and embed our sustainability strategy, strengthen governance frameworks, ensure we meet evolving regulatory requirements, and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Your work will help guide responsible decision‑making and support our long‑term business ambitions.
What you’ll do:
- Lead the development and delivery of ESG and sustainability strategy.
- Maintain and update the organisation’s ESG policy and related frameworks.
- Provide ESG input into strategic investment, M&A and capital allocation decisions.
- Oversee environmental impact areas, including carbon, waste reduction, resource efficiency and renewable integration.
- Manage emissions reporting and reduction plans, including Scope 1–3 and SBTi‑aligned targets.
- Manage and deliver ESOS compliance and coordinate with internal teams and external consultants.
- Lead the preparation for compliance with EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive, including ESRS, double materiality and taxonomy reporting.
- Support social initiatives including community engagement, D&I, employee wellbeing, human rights and charity partnerships.
- Develop and uphold strong governance frameworks, policies, and clear accountability processes
- Oversee waste and packaging reporting, including EPR, PRNs and plastic packaging tax.
- Lead ESG reporting, disclosures and stakeholder engagement with lenders, regulators and partners.
- Assist with ESG audits, supplier assessments and ESG due diligence for any corporate acquisitions.
- Assess potential sustainability risks, develop mitigation strategies, and monitor emerging legislation and regulations in the sustainability and ESG landscape
- Assist with mandatory climate related disclosures and other ESG aspects of the Group’s annual report and accounts.

What we are looking for:
- Experience managing an ESG regulation and compliance function.
- Understanding of ESG reporting frameworks and sustainability concepts.
- Experience preparing or implementing regulated ESG disclosures (e.g. SECR, TCFD, CSRD or equivalent).
- Strong analytic skills with the ability to interpret and present data clearly.
- Experience working with external auditors or assurance providers on non‑financial reporting.
