About the role:
We’re looking for a proactive and highly organised EV Operations Lead to play a pivotal role in powering the growth and performance of our EV charging network. This is a fast‑moving, hands‑on role where you’ll keep our chargers online, revenue‑generating, and fully compliant, while driving the operational excellence needed to keep our network running at its best.
Alongside day‑to‑day operations, you’ll also support the delivery of EV and utilities projects across the portfolio, working closely with the Head of EV & Utilities on everything from procurement and financial administration to compliance documentation and commissioning activities. This is a fantastic opportunity to sit at the heart of both operational performance and project delivery, shaping the future of our EV network and ensuring every site meets our commercial, safety, and quality standards.
What you’ll do:
- Lead day‑to‑day operations of the EV charging network, ensuring chargers remain online, compliant, and revenue‑generating.
- Monitor performance across back‑office systems (Fuuse, Tesla, ChargePoint), maintaining accurate data on usage, revenue, uptime, and customer activity.
- Manage customer support processes, including queries, refunds, complaints, and development of a central knowledge base to improve service quality.
- Oversee financial tracking for EV operations, including purchase orders, invoice validation, spend tracking, and OPEX/CAPEX allocation.
- Produce monthly dashboards and report covering financial performance, operational KPIs, utilisation, downtime, and customer insights.
- Support the commissioning of new EV sites, ensuring systems, terminals, metering, and configurations are fully functional prior to launch.
- Ensure all EV operations meet regulatory requirements, including PCPR compliance, data reporting, and documentation management.
- Conduct site performance reviews and visit locations to assess operational issues, customer experience, and improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with contractors, DNOs, suppliers, and internal teams to support project delivery, energisation, issue resolution, and operational handover.
- Contribute to continuous improvement, developing SOPs, enhancing reporting, and identifying cost‑saving or efficiency opportunities.
- Support renewable energy and utilities activity across the estate, including solar tracking, meter management, and energy‑efficiency initiatives.
- Maintain strong commercial control by analysing forecasts, variances, competitor pricing, and supporting strategic pricing or investment decisions.

What we are looking for:
- Prior experience in project coordination or facilities management, with exposure to utilities management and/or electric vehicle infrastructure projects preferred.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of electric vehicle technology, charging infrastructure, and utilities management principles is a plus.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
