About the role:

 

We’re looking for an FP&A Analyst to play a key role in driving insight across EG On the Move shaping performance through fuel and EV reporting, forward-looking forecasting, and commercially focused analysis. In this role, you’ll help bring clarity to performance by contributing to financial reporting, maintaining and evolving forecasting models, and delivering meaningful analysis that supports business decision-making. Working closely with the FP&A Manager, Fuel & EV Director, and BI team, you’ll ensure reporting is accurate, timely, and consistent translating complex data into clear, actionable insights on Fuel and EV performance.

 

What you’ll do:

 

  • Prepare and analyse weekly and monthly Fuel & EV performance reports, delivering insights on volume, margin, PPL, sales, profitability, and key operational trends, alongside variance analysis against budget and forecast for senior stakeholders.
  • Maintain and develop short- to medium-term Fuel & EV forecasting models, integrating actual performance, replacement margins, and operational KPIs to support scenario analysis, sensitivity testing, and performance forecasting across volumes, pricing, margins, and EV operations.
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting process for Fuel & EV performance by coordinating budget inputs and assumptions, consolidating forecasts and monthly outlooks, and maintaining budgeting tools, reporting templates, and KPI dashboards.
  • Prepare and monitor daily and weekly Fuel & EV performance reporting, analysing actual results against forecast and budget to identify key variances, operational drivers, and trends across margin, stock, and overall business performance.
  • Partner with the FP&A Manager, Fuel & EV Director, and cross-functional teams across Finance, Operations, Commercial, and BI to deliver reporting, commercial analysis, and financial insights that support operational decision-making and business performance improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the BI team to enhance and automate Fuel & EV reporting processes, ensuring accurate and consistent reporting across management accounts and BI outputs, while contributing to best practices in forecasting, reporting, and data governance.
  • Engage with stakeholders across the business to gather data, assumptions, and operational insights, supporting consistent and accurate Fuel & EV reporting across brands and functions, including the integration and alignment of reporting for acquisitions and operational changes.

What we are looking for:

  • Experience in financial analysis, reporting, or FP&A, with strong ability to interpret and explain financial and operational performance.
  • Advanced Excel skills, with experience building models, reports, and dashboards.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to identify trends, variances, and key performance drivers and clearly communicate insights to stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented and proactive, with a strong ability to work both independently and collaboratively, while effectively managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, with progress toward a professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA) is desirable
