About the role:

As a Finance Analyst at EG On the Move, you will play a key role in supporting business performance through insightful financial analysis, reporting, and decision-making support.

Working closely with the FP&A Manager, you will provide accurate financial information, identify trends and opportunities, and help drive operational and commercial performance. You will support the production of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans for Grocery & Merchandise (G&M), partnering with stakeholders to deliver valuable insights and support strategic decision-making in a fast-paced and growing business.

What you’ll do:

• Own financial analysis across Grocery and Merchandise including; waste, markdowns, pricing, and promotions, providing clear actionable insights into the key drivers of sales, margin, and profitability.
• Partner closely with the Director of G&M and Finance team to support commercial decision-making, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management.
• Analyse trading performance and identify risks, opportunities, and trends, translating data into actionable recommendations for the Grocery & Merchandise teams.
• Provide insight and challenge to stakeholders, delivering recommendations based on data and financial analysis.
• Support month-end processes, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information.
• Assist with financial modelling, business cases, and ad hoc analysis to support commercial and strategic initiatives.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial reporting, processes, and systems in Finance.

What we are looking for:

• Retail or grocery business partnering experience, including knowledge of Waste, Shrink, Markdowns and Promotions.
• Financial analysis experience, including budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting.
• Advanced Excel and data analysis skills, with the ability to analyse large datasets and identify key insights.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain financial information clearly and work effectively with finance and operational teams.
• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
