About the role:

As a Finance Analyst at EG On the Move, you will support business performance by providing financial analysis, reporting, and commercial insights. Working closely with our Finance Business Partners, you will help deliver budgets, forecasts, and financial plans for either our Convenience Retail or Branded Foodservice division. Partnering with operational and commercial stakeholders, you will analyse performance, identify trends and opportunities, and provide the financial insight needed to support our growing business.

What you’ll do:

• Prepare and analyse weekly and monthly financial reports, providing clear insight into business performance.  
• Support the production of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans across either our Convenience Retail or Branded Foodservice division.  
• Deliver variance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior year results, highlighting key drivers and trends.  
• Work closely with operational and commercial teams to understand performance and provide financial support to aid decision-making.  
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), producing meaningful analysis for senior stakeholders.  
• Identify risks, opportunities, and areas for performance improvement across the business.  
• Provide insight and challenge to stakeholders, delivering recommendations based on data and financial analysis.  
• Support month-end processes, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information.  
• Assist with financial modelling, business cases, and ad hoc analysis to support commercial and strategic initiatives.  
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial reporting, processes, and systems.

What we are looking for:

• Good experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting in a retail, hospitality, convenience, fuel, or other consumer-facing sectors.  
• Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to analyse large datasets and produce meaningful insights.  
• High attention to detail, with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.  
• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience, with part-qualified or studying towards ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or an equivalent professional qualification is desirable.
