About the role:

We are seeking a dedicated and practical Gardener to join our team, responsible for the ongoing care, maintenance, and presentation of the gardens and surrounding grounds at our Head Office and Mosque sites. This is a hands-on role where pride in workmanship and attention to detail are essential, ensuring all outdoor areas are maintained to a high standard throughout the year.

This position suits someone who can work both independently and as part of a team, and who is confident in the safe operation of gardening tools and equipment.

Flexibility is important, as the role involves responding to seasonal demands, including winter maintenance and occasional out-of-hours duties when required.

What you’ll do:

• Carry out a wide range of general gardening duties to maintain the grounds to a high standard.
• Prune, nurture, and care for shrubs, plants, and trees as required.
• Weed flower beds, mow lawns, and maintain planted areas throughout the year.
• Clean, maintain, and monitor water features within the garden areas.
• Sweep and keep paths, patios, and hard-standing areas clean and presentable.
• Assist with irrigation work to ensure healthy plant growth.
• Monitor plant health, identify pests or diseases, and implement appropriate treatments.
• Use power tools and hand tools safely and effectively, following all health and safety procedures.
• Assist with the maintenance and upkeep of garden tools, sheds, and other garden buildings.
• Move garden furniture and equipment when required.
• Help care for and treat garden furniture and wooden fencing to preserve condition and appearance.
• Carry out power washing of paths, hard surfaces, and garden features as required.
• Undertake additional ad hoc duties as needed to support the smooth running of the gardens.

What we are looking for:

• NVQ level 2 or equivalent
• 2-3 Years gardening experience
• Clean driving license
• Good Knowledge and experience with variety of hand and power tools
