About the role:
We are looking for a dynamic and commercially focused Head of Retail Fuel Pricing to lead the end‑to‑end fuel pricing strategy across our UK retail estate. This pivotal role will shape a competitive, data‑driven pricing approach that ensures strong market positioning, sustainable margin delivery, and robust commercial governance. You will oversee all pricing operations, drive intelligent decision‑making through advanced analytics, and lead effective engagement with suppliers and cross‑functional teams. By aligning pricing strategy with broader commercial and operational objectives, you will play a key role in supporting profitable performance and long‑term business success across EG On the Move.
What you’ll do:
- Lead daily and long‑term fuel pricing strategy across the UK and international network, ensuring competitive market positioning and profitable decision‑making.
- Develop and refine pricing models, rules and KPIs, using market insights, competitor tracking and analytics to drive strong commercial outcomes.
- Oversee pricing governance, performance frameworks, reporting systems and compliance, ensuring accuracy, transparency and control.
- Produce impactful insights and dashboards that support executive‑level decision‑making and highlight commercial opportunities.
- Lead, mentor and build a high‑performing pricing team, including recruitment, training and capability development.
- Represent the Fuel Pricing function in senior leadership forums, providing challenge, direction and strategic input.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with Finance, Operations, Property, Supply Chain and Senior Management to align pricing with wider business goals.
- Support supplier negotiations with data‑driven insights to optimise costs, supply terms and reliability.
- Drive continuous improvement, enhancing pricing workflows, systems efficiency and data accuracy.

What we are looking for:
- 5+ years’ leadership experience in fuel or retail pricing with strong commercial impact with deep commercial understanding of fuel market dynamics.
- Highly analytical, skilled in interpreting and building pricing models.
- Proven team leadership, with strong communication skills and confidence presenting to senior leaders.
- Budgeting, forecasting and supplier negotiation experience, with good supply chain understanding.
