About the role:
We are looking for a Site Retail Operations IT Trainer to support our site teams in the effective use of back-office retail IT systems.
This role focuses on delivering high-quality training, creating effective learning materials, and supporting stores through system updates, enhancements, and change initiatives.
By ensuring teams can accurately use systems for inventory management, stock control, fuel deliveries, reporting, and margin analysis, the role directly contributes to improved operational performance and data integrity. Training is delivered through a blended approach, including remote learning sessions, group workshops, and on-site store visits.
What you’ll do:
- Deliver training to store managers and site teams on Fuel and Retail back-office IT systems, including inventory management, stock counts, fuel deliveries, reporting, and margin analysis.
- Design, create, maintain, and update training materials such as user guides, quick reference documents, and digital training modules for the in-house learning platform.
- Provide remote (individual and group) and on-site training sessions, adapting delivery methods to suit different learning needs and operational environments.
- Support stores during the rollout of system changes and enhancements, ensuring users are prepared and confident ahead of go-live.
- Act as a key point of contact for store teams requiring guidance, troubleshooting support, or best-practice advice on system usage.
- Work closely with the Site Retail Operations Manager, IT, and Retail Operations teams to align training with system changes and business requirements.
- Gather feedback from store teams to identify training gaps and opportunities to improve system adoption and usability.
- Assist with testing and validation of system changes from a store-user perspective where required.
- Maintain accurate documentation of training materials, updates, and delivery activity.
- Ensure all training content and system usage comply with company policies, operational standards, and regulatory requirements.

What we are looking for:
- Proven technical expertise in retail IT and back-office systems, supporting inventory management, stock control, fuel deliveries, reporting, and margin analysis.
- Proven ability to deliver training or coaching to operational teams, with confidence presenting to individuals and groups both remotely and on site.
- Strong understanding of Fuel and Retail site operations and the practical challenges faced by store managers.
- Ability to create clear, user-friendly training materials, including guides, process documentation, and digital learning content.
