About the role:

We are looking for a BI Analyst Developer to join our Data and BI team in a junior role designed for someone eager to build a career in Data, Business Intelligence, and Finance. You will support the business by helping develop and maintain reporting and analytics solutions. This is a hands-on role working with Power BI, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance (D365), and SQL/databases. Reporting to the Head of BI, you will shadow and support Senior and Mid-level developers, working with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements, build data models and visualisations, and improve existing reporting processes, with the opportunity to take ownership as your skills develop.

What you’ll do:

• Support the BI team with data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights in response to requests from Senior Developers and business stakeholders.
• Assist in the design and development of operational and financial reports, interactive dashboards, and data visualisations using Power BI, progressing from support to ownership over time.
• Work with financial data from Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance (including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable) to help deliver accurate, high-quality reporting in line with team standards and best practices.
• Attend stakeholder meetings alongside Senior Developers to understand reporting needs, document requirements, and help translate business questions into BI and reporting solutions.
• Collaborate closely with the Head of BI, Senior BI Developers, Finance, IT, and Data teams to develop, test, and enhance BI solutions, data models, and D365 reports.
• Perform data quality checks, troubleshooting, and validation to support data accuracy and integrity.
• Assist with user acceptance testing (UAT) and incorporate feedback to improve reports and dashboards.
• Learn and apply Agile methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) within a supportive team environment.

What we are looking for:

• Proactive in seeking out knowledge, training, and challenging tasks to accelerate proficiency.
• Foundational knowledge of SQL for querying and working with data.
• Foundational knowledge of Financial and Accounting principles.
• Theoretical knowledge of ERP systems (ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365/AX/NAV, SAP, Oracle, or similar).
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with excellent attention to detail.
• A genuine enthusiasm for learning and building technical skills in Power BI, Dynamics 365 and core finance systems with some exposure to Microsoft Azure and data services.
