About the role:
We are looking for a Junior Software Developer (Full Stack) to join our growing EG On the Move IT Team. You’ll help build and maintain the digital tools and applications that support our operations as we continue to scale at pace and work hands‑on across the full stack, designing, developing, and enhancing software solutions that keep our organisation running smoothly. This role is perfect for someone enthusiastic about software development, eager to learn new technologies, and excited to grow within a fast‑moving, innovative environment. You’ll gain exposure to modern development practices, cloud technologies, and DevOps tools as you build your skills and contribute to meaningful projects.
What you’ll do:
- Help keep our systems running smoothly by maintaining and supporting existing legacy applications, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring overall stability.
- Play a key role in our transformation journey, assisting in the migration of legacy systems into a modern tech stack and helping shape the future of our platforms.
- Get hands‑on across the full stack, contributing to the development, testing, and maintenance of web portals, backend services, APIs, and (in the future) mobile applications.
- Work with the Software team on DevOps best practices, including CI/CD pipelines, version control, and automation to support efficient and consistent delivery.
- Improve code quality by participating in code reviews, sharing ideas, and collaborating with the development team to build clean, maintainable, and scalable software.
- Support security and identity integration, helping implement authentication, authorisation, and best‑practice security features across applications.
- Partner with internal teams, vendors, and consultants to support integrations, technical solutions, and the smooth rollout of new capabilities.
- Document your work clearly and consistently, contributing to accessible technical documentation that supports future development and troubleshooting.
- Stay curious and keep learning, staying up to date with emerging technologies and contributing to continuous improvement within the team.

What we are looking for:
- A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proficiency in C#/.NET, plus experience with frontend technologies such as React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Basic experience of SQL or NoSQL databases, writing queries, and using version control tools like Git.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to learn quickly and work effectively in a team environment.
