About the role:

We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager – France to lead maintenance and operational activity across our sites, ensuring efficiency, safety, and reliability. You will be responsible for operational performance, maintenance strategy, compliance, budgeting, and asset management. The role focuses on improving processes, maintaining high standards, and ensuring operations support business objectives and service delivery. Working closely with senior stakeholders and operational teams, you will drive performance, manage risk, and ensure consistent delivery across all sites.

What you’ll do:

• Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs to ensure optimal performance and reliability
• Ensure all facilities, machinery, equipment, and infrastructure remain fully operational and compliant with relevant standards
• Minimise downtime through effective maintenance planning, scheduling, and rapid fault resolution
• Manage maintenance schedules, shutdowns, and repair activities across all sites
• Implement asset management strategies and drive reliability and continuous improvement initiatives
• Lead, mentor, and develop maintenance and operations teams, setting clear objectives and performance standards
• Manage recruitment, training, succession planning, and ongoing workforce development
• Create a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement
• Prepare and manage operational and maintenance budgets, ensuring cost control while maintaining service quality
• Oversee procurement, contractor management, and inventory control
• Monitor financial performance and identify opportunities for cost optimisation
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
• Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective actions to mitigate operational risks
• Maintain accurate maintenance and operational records, supporting audits, inspections, and compliance reporting

What we are looking for:

• Proven experience in operations management within a leadership role, with the ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with experience in project management and process improvement
• Solid understanding of industry regulations, compliance standards, and operational best practice
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and develop high-performing teams
• Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to travel outside the UK
• A relevant degree business administration, operations management, or a related field and fluency in French (spoken and written) are desirable
