About the role:

Are you ready to begin an exciting career in the world of healthcare? As a Pre-Registration Pharmacy Technician Apprentice, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional care to our customers and the wider community. Working alongside experienced pharmacy professionals you will gain the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to become a registered Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC and achieve a Level 3 qualification.

What you’ll do:

• Support the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy by working closely with pharmacy managers to complete training and tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Support the pharmacy team in delivering safe, effective and high-quality services to customers while maintaining excellent patient care.
• Assist with the preparation, dispensing and supply of medicines under the supervision of qualified pharmacy professionals.
• Support patients with general enquiries, signposting them to the appropriate healthcare services when required.
• Accurately process prescriptions and support the dispensing of medicines in line with pharmacy procedures.
• Support safe medicine storage, stock rotation and the management of expiry dates.
• Complete all required elements of the Level 3 Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship Programme over a 24-month period

What we are looking for:

• Eligibility for the apprenticeship, including GCSE English Language and Mathematics at Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent).
• Dedicated to learning and completing a Level 3 Pharmacy Technician apprenticeship.
• Passion for helping people, customer service and healthcare/pharmacy.
• Friendly, professional attitude with good communication skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with customers and colleagues.
• Good organisation, accuracy and teamwork in a busy environment.
